One Of The Safest Countries in the World

One Of The Safest Countries in the World

United Arab Emirates is truly one of the safest places on this planet. Not just because of its security but also because of the stunning buildings that touch the sky. It has earned its place among the top 10 safest countries in the world and honestly it deserves that spot.

Abu Dhabi is the capital of UAE. Dubai is the most famous city there and people from all over the world come here for tourism and business. Arabic is the official language but you will find English spoken and understood almost everywhere you go. The currency is called AED or Dirham.

WHY IS IT CALLED EMIRATES

This is actually a really interesting fact. The word Emirates comes from the meaning of an area that is ruled by a prince or a local ruler. UAE is made up of 7 states and because of these 7 states it is called Emirates. All 7 rulers sit together and form what is known as the Supreme Council. From these 7 rulers one person is chosen as the president of the country. The ruler of Abu Dhabi gets the presidency and the ruler of Dubai takes the role of Prime Minister and Vice President.

WHO IS THE CURRENT PRESIDENT OF UAE

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the ruler of Abu Dhabi and he currently serves as the president of UAE. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the ruler of Dubai and he holds the position of Prime Minister.

THE TALLEST BUILDING IN DUBAI

THE TALLEST BUILDING IN DUBAI

Say the word Dubai and the first image that pops into your head is Burj Khalifa. This building stands at 828 meters tall. That height alone makes it the tallest building on earth. It holds more than 200 world records which is honestly mind blowing. Standing at the top you can see the entire city of Dubai spread out below you. Burj Khalifa is without a doubt the greatest symbol of what UAE has achieved.

WHY IS UAE SAFE

UAE has built a security system that very few countries in the world can match. The laws are strict and when someone breaks them the punishment comes fast. People know this and that fear keeps crime very low. Both Dubai and Abu Dhabi police use AI technology and CCTV cameras across the city so theft rarely happens.

The Federal Code of UAE says that if someone is caught stealing they go to jail for 6 months and on top of that they have to pay a fine equal to the value of whatever they stole. That combination of jail time and financial punishment is why theft cases are almost unheard of there.

SAFETY OF WOMEN

One of the things UAE is genuinely proud of is how safe women feel there. In so many countries women think twice before stepping out alone at night. In UAE that fear simply does not exist. Women go out at any hour they want and travel alone without worrying about a thing.

The laws protecting women in UAE are extremely strict. If any person harasses a woman or even tries to make her uncomfortable in any way they can face up to 1 year in jail. The fine on top of that can go anywhere from 10,000 to 100,000 AED. These numbers make people think twice before doing anything wrong.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND CYBER ATTACKS

UAE does not take online harassment lightly either. If someone uses social media to threaten another person or sends inappropriate messages or misuses photos to trouble someone that person faces serious consequences. Jail time is on the table along with a fine that can reach up to 250,000 AED.

For people who are not UAE citizens the punishment goes even further. After finishing the jail sentence and paying the fine they are immediately deported from the country. On top of that a permanent ban is placed on them. They cannot return to UAE ever again.

POLICE SUPERCARS

Dubai Police

Now here is something that genuinely surprises people when they first hear it. Dubai police drive supercars. We are talking about Ferrari, Bentley, Bugatti and Lamborghini being used as actual police vehicles. The reason behind this is twofold. First it helps them catch criminals quickly in a city full of fast cars. Second it adds to the tourism appeal of Dubai.

And yes Dubai Police holds a Guinness World Record too. Their Bugatti Veyron is officially the fastest police car in the world reaching speeds of up to 407 km/h. That one fact tells you everything about how modern and well equipped law enforcement is in Dubai.

ECONOMY OF UAE

Dubai Real estate

UAE used to depend almost entirely on oil. That is no longer the case. Today the economy runs on Real Estate, Finance and Tourism as well and it has become a global name in all three. One of the biggest reasons people love doing business in UAE is that personal income tax is 0 percent. Every single dirham you earn stays with you.

Corporate tax was not even a thing before but now companies that make large profits pay 9 percent tax. Compare that to what businesses pay in other countries and it is still incredibly low. VAT in UAE stands at just 5 percent.
For mainland business you can operate anywhere across UAE with any partner you choose. The old rule that required a local partner has been removed for most business types and now foreigners can hold 100 percent ownership. Free Zones are another option. Dubai has more than 30 of them including JAFZA, DAFZA and Dubai Media City. Inside these zones there is complete tax exemption and you own your business entirely though you can only trade within the zone or at the international level.

GOLDEN VISA

UAE rewards people who invest seriously in the country. If you start a large scale business or make a significant investment and it does well then UAE offers you a Golden Visa. This visa lasts between 5 to 10 years. That means no running to renew your visa every few months. You can simply live and work there with full peace of mind.

MUSEUM OF THE FUTURE

The Museum of the Future
People call the Museum of the Future in Dubai the most beautiful building in the world and it is hard to argue with that. The architecture is shaped like a ring and the outer surface is covered with stunning Arabic calligraphy. The whole concept of this museum is to give visitors a look at what the world might look like by the year 2071 in terms of technology and science. It is not just a museum in the traditional sense. It is a vision. It is a statement about where humanity is headed and that is exactly why it carries the name Museum of the Future.
